ooh lovely (new to me) products to play with :)

Crissi came round to play yesterday and bought some of her crafting supplies for me to try.... I realise they won't be new products to most crafters but I've pretty much stuck to Stampin Up products for the last year or two so it was really refreshing to try something new.

Ok so some of the supplies used on my tag are still Stampin Up... papers and punches etc... but the new supplies that I used were gorgeous Wendy Vicchi (have I spelt that correctly? ) stamps, love the quote... and if you squint at the flower you'll see that theres a background stamp on there. I stamped the leaf stamp onto some grunge paper (first time I've tried grunge paper and I do like it... was nice to curl the leaves without the normal cracking you get from paper and card... see flower LOL

Crissi also brought round her distress inks for me to try... I like them... oh and last but not least another new thing for me to try was Crissi's glimmer mist........ LURRRRRVE it... so subtle.. so lush

Ok they are my reviews LOL sounds like a review doesn't it hee hee

Have a good day everyone :)

No I haven't.......

....disappeared off the face of the Earth

I just haven't been crafting much, and when I have crafted I haven't blogged :O terrible eh???!!

Anyway I gave myself a little shake to snap out of it as I wanted to make a 'thinking of you card for one of my friends who is really going through a rough time at the moment :(

The card I made her isn't here but I decided to make a few more cards using the same papers, stamps and card ... I just tweaked the designs a little. One card isn't shown as its for someone who I know reads my blog ;)

The cardstock, papers and stamps are all by Stampin Up

Have a great weekend everyone, I'm just waiting for the sun to appear....

ooh I'm a guest designer :D

I was honoured to be asked to be guest designer for the whole of April for the wonderful Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog

For my first creation the theme is "It's a mans world" eek I struggle big time with mens cards, if I need a card for a man I'll potter down to the shops and buy one lol so I hope that I have done this challenge justice

The papers used are from the new 12 x 12 paper stack from the mini catalogue which I keep harping on about... are you getting bored with me yet? lol

Anyway I hope you like my card and I hope you all go and check out the challenge HERE to see what the talented design team have created and of course to join in

Toodles for now :)

A little bit different............

to my normal Stampin Up creations.... I decided that for a change I'd buy some luggage tags to create on...... makes a change from cards doesn't it.

All products used are Stampin Up apart from the tags :)

Lovely new papers...

The patterned paper that I used on this card is new from Stampin Up isn't it GORGEOUS, I'm in love. Its actually from a Designer paper series pack from Stampin' Up!'s Mini catalogue

The other new products used here are two stamps from the 'Tiny Tags' stamp set which has 17 stamps which coordinate perfectly with the newly designed 'Medium Jewellery Tag' punch

I hope you haven't all fainted because I've posted so soon after my last post lol

Take care

Procrastinating???? MEEEE??? Never !! :p

I do love this colour combo, Chocolate Chip & Kraft.. even sounds yummy doesn't it
I've been really bad at getting birthday cards to my friends on time which I'm not very proud of but I'll try to be better as the year goes on eek... perhaps I'm still in 'Christmas mode' I had flu over Christmas and I think I must have slept through it because I blinked and it was over !!

Ok so all products used are Stampin Up, the stamp set is 'Flight of the butterfly' and the papers are Bella Bleu which I think go really well with the Kraft cardstock. Love the chocolate chip stripey ribbon that I've used on both cards, so easy to tie too which is a bonus... isn't stiff like some ribbons

The flower on this card was made using Stampin Up's scallop circle punch and snipping and manipulating.. I'm sure you've seen this done before but if you haven't just drop me an email and I'll link you to a video showing this technique, as you can see once again I've used the same papers from the 'Bella Bleu' paper pack.

Hope everyone is well in Blogland :)
